Loved this film

I wasn't sure if I would... but for me it contained so many memories of my own childhood... the innocence of youth.. the fascination with sound and film. Beaufiful cinematogophy.. the shadows created at night though the bedroom window. Critics have said that he remained too long on some of the long shots, maybe he did, but it captured the essence of the period. I am tired of the usual my miserable Catholic childhood fodder, this showed that despite the backdrop of catholicism, the boy found solace in film and it depicted the warmth of the family that surrounded him. Very reminiscent my own Dublin childhood some fifty miles away.
