THIS MOVE SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME

i remember I watched this movie all the time when I was little, and I remember it used to scare the crap out of me. Almost literally LOL. I dont know if I was just too young to be watching it, if it was just a dark kids movie, or both. But I just remember getting nightmares. I haven't seen it in forever, i'd love to see it again to take a trip down memory lane. I remembered that there was nemo in the title, i remembered the flying bed, the princess girl whoever she was lol and this big monster type thing that scared the crap out of me. thats about it.

hahah, i was scared of the part when nemo unlocked that huge dark door with the bolt and the black gunk started coming out. but i loved that movie and mostly everything else was cheery and great fantasy!

When I was younger i always remembered quite a few parts that scred me: when they first see the nightm king on the blimp, the DOOR and when facing the king.SPOOKY!! especially for a kids movie

reply

I was scared poopless when Nemo returned to that house and you could hear the king saying "Neeeeemo, Neeeeemo".

reply

Yeah, the bolted door and the evil gunk was terrifying. That was: TERRIFYING.

the exact same part is also most prominent in my memory.
i remember thinking "oh he screwed up now" after unlocking the door the king had previously warned him about, i also remember being scared of going to sleep with the lights off for some time after having watched this movie.
i really liked the part when he fell asleep, with the airplanes in his room beginning to move and his getting picked up by a huge zeppelin.

back then i was shocked by the king's (an adult) helplessness and naiveté, appointing little nemo as prince.

...even though a little too scary some times, Little Nemo is a great movie that highly influenced my childhood, in a positive way, i hope.

First time I saw this it was scary most of the time. I was like six or 7 when I saw this and it was scary because no matter what at that age it will scare you, but I just saw it today because to bring back childhood memories and of course it didn't scare me because I'm 20 and a adult nothing scares me anymore. Excellent animated movie and it is my favorite animated movie ever. If you want to see it again go to youtube and search it, its's there.

i was 4 or 5... I remember a clown riding on a small toy train, and they thought he did something bad... I also remember a part where Nemo was standing in his kitchen or something and somehow a train was coming after him... yes, a very dark movie at times, kind of like Spirited Away might scare some young kids today

The Nightmare King was the only thing that really scared me, I think. i saw this so long ago and i can't remember too much about it, but I remember that.

reply

I remember that this scared me. but not much, My memory from this movie is a train that was kinda shocking, and black goo that was creepy....and I know in one scene Nemo goes fencing and it made me want to learn fencing... I was like 3 or 4.

But ya, it was freaky.

reply

It used to scare me too, like the part after the black stuff came out and they went on some boat ride...I am glad I still own it though because I didn't know it was hard to find

reply

Yeah; my brother rented it from Blockbuster when we were both really little, and the part with the train scared the crap out of me. In fact, we got a ton of movies from Blockbuster that scared the crap out of us. ^_^;

Even though this movie depressed me and scared me to death as a child I remember my parents making me watch it at least about five times. I literally had several nightmares of my bed getting up and walking as in the movie.

reply

yeah, this movie also scared the isht out of me. i couldn't remember the title for quite a few years but now the conundrum has been solved- yay!

reply

I loved this movie because it was so dark and scary i loved that feeling. But forgott what the name of the movie was so i searcht 7 years after (im 15) and
i found it! And all i remeberd from this movie was a flying bed and the black stuff coming and the feeling of something scary...

reply

It scared the crap out of me too. I owned it when I was a kid and saw it probably it few times when I was 7 to 9 years old and haven't seen it since. I'd go to get a movie to watch like Aladdin or something like that and would see the box and be like "No WAY am I watching that!" even to this day... Though I would like to watch it again to see why I was so scared but just can't bring myself to do it.

I wonder if this movie is the reason I've always been so afraid of the dark?
O_o (Plus I HATE not being able to see where I'm going.)

I grew up with this movie, ever since it was released in like, '92.
I was still a small child, and I thought it was the best movie ever.
Im sure all of you think A Nightmare Before Christmas or The Dark Crystal was scary too, as a kid, But no way, this movie is FANTASTIC, along with those above.
Everyone, and everything needs a little darkness...because then what would be the point?

what doesn't kill you...
only makes you stranger...
