It's not on DVD yet but it is on Laserdisc. I know that only helps if you have a laserdisc player. I do have one and I bought the disc on ebay for .99 cents. It plays great. The picture looks great and it'll last a lot longer than a VHS tape.
I think right now movie studios are looking for sure-fire revenues. Maybe after crunching the numbers "Leaving Normal" leaves them cold. Probably the people on this sight and others that like the film ( including me ) and the usual "all my friends" who like it aren't enough to balance the books. Lots of popular TV shows have only seen a season or two released because they bombed at the cash register.
This is such a great movie. A movie that should be on DVD, and available on Netflix. So many movies are not on DVD Yet. but this one I'm definitely looking forward to renting once it is available.
