Couldn't stand Kit?

I realise the film felt it needed conflict between its primary character siblings, in the forms of skill ability and personality, but the contrast to Geena Davis' Dottie's elder sibling maturity was a ridiculously unlikeable stuckup whining brat of a younger sister.

Kit Keller: Even her very voice was in a constant tune/key of "whine".
What a spoilt victimising brat.

I couldn't stand the character at all. I felt it didn't offer much positive reward to the movie overall, plus felt that the movie would've been somewhat improved with her absence.

So obviously then I didn't feel she deserved to get the final win. Getting the upper hand in a movies ending should only be rewarded to personality/self developed/improved characters, showing change and maturity shows you've earnt it.
Kit certainly didn't.

Plus her constant whine and complain that she was the victim of her elder sisters constant badgering, ridicule and torment.
She doesn't know what real sibling bullying is at all.

I found Dottie's comments to her to be nothing but civil, polite, direct, and honest.
I would’ve killed to have had siblings where this was their worst behaviour and mistreatment towards me.

Instead I was born into a family of 10, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, with me in the middle.
The child order went: girl, boy, boy, boy, boy, me. then a 4 year break/gap, then boy, girl, boy girl.
Those older consecutive gang of 4 boys made my childhood a living hell.

Kit’s exactly those ridiculous people in the world who've only ever lead utterly sheltered lives, but truly believe they've led tribulating lives of the “rough n tough”.

I don't know if it's the actress, but I hated Kit and hated that she became a hero by attempting to score from third base with the ball already in the infield.

Have you ever had a younger sister? they are often like that. Have you ever been a younger sister to one that is great at everything, and who has the looks? When you are younger, you try try twice as hard and still feel that you aren't good enough. It's just typical sister rivalry. I didn't mind Kit a bit.
