Very nice to be able to watch this without having to dig up the old VHS (part of the problem is I don't even own one anymore). What a great movie after all these years! It is sort of like the prelude to mockumentaries except so much more enjoyable and substantial. If you are a person who picks up on the subtleties of people as they interact with each other in daily life, this is a very tense movie to watch. The characters are always on the edge of conflict which is the heart of the tension in the movie, and the inevitable fall of the larger-than-life main characters is predictable, yet still shocking. Love it: check it out!
