Lifts heavily from One Year in a Life of Crime (1989)

I happen to randomly watch theses two back to back and was pretty shocked.

The documentary was about guys who shoplift. The character of Jon is pretty much directly lifted from the real life character of Michael Jandreau. It seems like they cast that character. From his way of talk to his look.

Especially the first few minutes of the Laws of Gravity movie. The jumping bond, the speech about i'm not going to turn myself in. I'm going to make them catch me, etc. The hitting his girlfriend. It's almost all a direct lift.

Of course there's always some general things about types of people, etc, but this was too clear that it's where it came from. There's many other things if watch the doc.
