Jon ... Doing a Christopher Walken impression?

I swear to god the whole way through this movie I couldn't tell if Jon just spoke that way naturally or if his character was intentionally doing a Walken impression, like that was his shtick, or if the actor who played Jon was some kind of Walken fan and thought he sounded cool talking that way.
