I just heard the soundtrack to LOTM again ...

Wow, that is really some powerful music. I feel the blood
coursing through my body like the primeval rivers and streams
of this great country when I hear that music.

It reminds me of what an amazing movie Last Of The Mohicans
was and how it connects with the viewer on every level.

Amazing.

But it also seems like a lament for the civilizations and ways
of life that are gone, and the damming and polluting of those
rivers. Again, just amazing.

Here is what I was listening to on You-Tube

Top notch movie and soundtrack.

Yeah, I was just wondering whatever become of Jodhi May, the girl
who played Alice. She was incredibly sensual and beautiful, seems
like she should have had a great career as an actress.

reply

Ms May now is 42 and has a thriving career on the London stage

Two years ago she appeared in the HBO series "Game of Thrones"

She's actually the late Malcolm McLaren's step-daughter

Thanks for mentioning that.
I did see that about the same time as I made my comment.
This part was more or less of a cameo as the fortune teller.
It was a pretty small part.
I would never have guessed that was the same person.

That must have been such an amazing time to live in. Going
to New England around Lake Champlain and it is still amazing
today ... what must that place have been like 300 years ago
or more, I cannot even conceive.

It is incredibly stirring !

Yes, since the day I saw it in the theatre it has certainly been one of my favorite soundtrack recordings. Bought the LP and later the CD.

Pffft...it’s the unofficial SCOTTISH National Anthem by Dougie MacLean.
