Any other action films like this?
Are there any other big action films like this with the dual pistols, high body count, and hong-kong style to them, excluding other John Woo movies?
If your enemy refuses to be humbled....DESTROY HIM!

Wow, I actually own those. Know of any others?

Don't know how similar you'd find it, but Ronin is one of the greatest action movies ever made(and one that, although you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't care for it, remains very underrated and under appreciated). It has a good deal of great gunplay.

Full Contact is not quite as spectacular and has a nastier edge to it, but it fits the bill (including Chow in the lead).

Best American action movie ever. Period.
If your enemy refuses to be humbled....DESTROY HIM!
Not a movie, but the gunfights in the Max Payne video games are a lot like John Woo movies.I think of the game as Sin City meets Hard Boiled.

The Killer, Bullet In The Head, A Better Tomorrow, Full Contact, Once A Thief.
shareTry some of Luc Besson's films
Leon, Nikita, Taken, Danny the Dog, District 13
'Exiled,' is very Woo inspired. And do yourself a favor and atleast watch the trailer for 'Deadly Outlaw: Rekka.' Also the japanese anime 'Kite' has some really excellant gun battles. And make sure to try 'Time and Tide.'
shareActually, to find something on this level you have to go to the source: HK movies. No way American movies have this particular style of action. I love American action movies such as Die Hard or Terminator and Terminator 2, but they are quite different in style. Here are some you can get your hands on:
City on Fire (1987) by Ringo Lam
The Big Heat (1988) not to be confused with the film of the same name from 1953.
A Hero Never Dies (1998) by Johnny To
These are just three examples. Go to wikipedia and type Heroic Bloodshed which is the genre this type of movies belong to and you'll see loads of films.

The 4th Die Hard is nightmarishly shatty.
And while an awesome action movie, Die Hard 3 isn't the best shootemup action flick. It's greatness lies in the plot/humor/and action scenes not so focused on gunplay.
