You can't like this movie and then diss Bay and Bruckheimer

I have a friend who is kind of a film snob and he considers Hard Boiled one of his favorite movies but at the same time he hates on Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer films.

What's the difference? Both are stylized action movies that focus more on over the top sequences than plot and acting.

reply

John Woo directs far superior action movies, especially asian ones I'm sure your friend will agree. Hard Boiled and the killer is far better action wise than anything Michael Bay or Jerry Bruckheimer has ever done on far lower budget as well.

reply

Michael Bay wishes he could make a movie that's as good as Hard Boiled.

Who says violence is not the answer?

reply

Your friend needs to start befriending people with better opinions; you're clearly not enlightened enough to know how much better woo is than Michael bay. the idea someone considering the two equal is laughable to me

reply

Your friend is right. You'd do well to learn from him if you seriously think Bay is even close to being on a par with Woo.

reply

Your statement is ridiculous. By that logic if you love Woody Allen's 'Interiors' you must think that Tommy Wiseau's 'The Room' is a great relationship drama also.

He came into town with his cock in hand, and what he did with it was illegal in 49 states.

reply

Hard Boiled is far better than any Bay or Bruckheimer movie.

Michael Bay makes soulless trash. The comparison to Hard Boiled is absurd.

reply

The Killer and Hard Boiled have actual art, music, dialogue and poetical styles in their movies, Bay is just pure mindless video game action.
