Great film, one of my favorites. It's the story of the only way you can trully love.

Hi Jen,
I just want to tell you that this film is also one of my favorites I thing this film changed the way I think about poetry.
also I want to ask you if you know where can I find this film I've been looking for a while but I can't find it anywhere.

You can find the movie on amazon.com. It's still only available in VHS though.

I take that back. The DVD is also available on Amazon. Check the reviews though - most of the people who purchased the DVD are complaining about the horrible quality of the transfer (pixilated images, burned in subtitles, etc.). If that scares you, you can always opt for a cheaper used VHS copy to tide you over until a good DVD edition is released. :-)

So far "El lado oscuro del corazón" is my fav movie directed by Subiela, IMO its even better than "Hombre mirando al sudeste". However I have yet to see most of his works.

If you like Oliverio Girondo, Gelman and Benedetti poetry. Mexican boleros by Los Panchos, Consuelito Velázquez, etc. sung by Lucho Gatica, María Martha Serra Lima and a beautiful love story, You can't help to love it.

Actually I think this movie alongside "El hijo de la novia" and "Un lugar en el mundo" are my 3 favorite argentinian movies.

BTW I rented the region 4 DVD, but according with what I've read the quality is more or less the same (Below average) than the region 1 DVD.
However at least the R4 DVD contains some interesting extras, like interviews with Subiela, Grandinetti, Benedetti, etc.
BUT is sans-subtitles.
