Slater's best film?
?what do you think?
Kuffs is indeed a great film, but Slater's best? Not at all. I'll have to go with True Romance.

yea he's gr8 in that.
"anyway, enough about the king how about you?"
yeah i'm gonna have to go with "True Romance" as Slater's best, but this flick is definately a fun one. Slater had a lot of those movies in the later 80's, early 90's. That one movie where he's a skater-punk used to be one I watched on USA network all the time. "Heathers" is also a good one.

"I guess it's a good thing I'm not one of them, huh? You guys got any milk?" - Henry Gale, LOST
Gleaming the Cube was where he was a skater Punk and I really liked the Wizard with him and Fred Savage

shareI think PUMP UP THE VOLUME is a better Slater film, as he plays a more prominent role. TRUE ROMANCE holds up better and is probably a better movie overall. HE HEATHERS is a real classic.
KUFFS is a mess. On Netflix I gave all of the above 4 out of 5 stars. KUFFS garnered only 2.
pump up the volume was always my favourite slater film until i saw true romance.
shareIt wasn't a HUGE role.. and definitely not his best.. but I'd still love to throw in his role of Arkansas Dave in Young Guns 2.. and it was his better LATER performances as the twisted friend in "Very Bad Things".. which was chock full of good and fun performances..
but granted.. it's a toss up between Heathers and Pump up the Volume.. and he also did a good job in "Name of the Rose" and a little film called "Twisted", which.. I can't really remember too well aside from the fact that it definitely lived up to its title.

Broken Arrow.....I can't believe no one mentioned this beauty. I do think True Romance is better, but BA is also great.
"Now a question of etiquette, as I pass, do I give her the ass or the crotch."
It's a treat for Slater's hardcore fans as he is in nearly every scene, but it's like the writers could not decide if it was a comedy, intense melodrama, action/mystery or romance. It has too many styles in one film and goes back and forth. The Looney Tunes sound effects are also odd, but I like it. But it's not for everyone. I noticed Christian's voice seemed to crack a few times throughout the movie. It was sort of strange.
