Mate in 5

I found this a very good movie - especially in light of the subpar offerings of today. One thing, there is no "mate in 5" during the game where Sanderson resigns as white. Plus, of course, black would have moved the bishop instead of the rook prior to Sanderson's turn. I have found a mate in 8 for white, though. Nonetheless, white certainly has the upper hand and blows it - which is the point well conveyed in the scene. Interesting movie.

Don't believe his mentor was referring to a 5 move opening checkmate, he was following the game and knew the moves which had occurred would allow Peter to mate his opponent in the next 5 moves...
