Inacurate trivia info

How accurate is the trivia info on imdb?

I'm just wondering because I happened upon the Johnny Suede page and noticed the trivia section stated DeCillo was unhappy with Pitt's performance, which is supposedly ironic since DeCillo insisted on casting him over Timothy Hutton.

On the commentary to JS, DeCillo states he was happy with Pitt, but that he (DeCillo) mis-directed Pitt by saying the character of JS was like a child. DeCillo takes full responsibility for this. He also states the meeting with Hutton was absured as Hutton stayed in character the whole time and got it completely wrong.

It's a small difference but it just made me wonder how accurate the info is on imdb.

He can still be unhappy with the end result if he initially picked him over someone else. Again, because he says he takes responsibility doesn't mean he actually does, or that he still is unhappy with the end result.

The trivia can still be 100% accurate.

Whatever he has or hasn't said, a couple years later DiCillo had James LeGros playing what looked an awful lot like a parody of Brad Pitt as the fatuous, attention-needy young star exasperating his director and co-star in "Living in Oblivion." Subsequent DiCillo & co. have said "Oh gee, that wasn't meant to be Brad Pitt or anyone specific"--no doubt not wanting to get blackballed in the industry for openly ridiculing a big star--but if you see the film it could hardly be clearer that DiCillo had an axe to grind toward you-know-who.
