Soundtrack.

I've yet to find the subtitled version of this movie to see what things were cut out from it and until I do find one, I have to settle for the U.S. version.
When I first rented, I wasn't really disappointed with the English dubbing, though most times the English actors sounded like they were trying to improvise on certain parts. Jackie and Michelle definitely kept up with their characters though.

Anyway, what really got me was the soundtrack for this movie. The original Chan music was replaced with some rock songs and West Coast rap (apparently the distributors here in America thought they could get a better reaction from the younger teenage crowd if the movie had Jackie, Michelle and Maggie jamming to artists that the young crowd was familiar with). My first thought was, rap music in an Asian movie? I don't know how that's gonna work. At first I had my doubts, but when Warren G's What's Love got to do with it started playing, I found myself movin' to the beat of it. I'm like, "D*mn. This acutally works." The song was bumpin' over the radio as Jackie drove to work with Maggie beside him and she slid over to drive the car back home.

Then they had 2 Pac's Made Ni**az playin' when Jackie and Michelle rode with Yuen Wah's character on a helicopter to meet his rich drug lord brother Chaibat. My cousin came in and said, "Aw snap. Since when did Jackie start listenin' to 2 Pac?" That song definitely fit the setting for Chaibat's mansion scene filled with beautiful girls, a swimming pool and his home which had video games and expensive furniture. Man, just seeing this movie makes me wish I was in Hong Kong.

Overall, the soundtrack was a nice catch to the film.

Any of the Region free (aka Region 0) Hong Kong releases from Deltamac, Megastar or the best one - Intercontinental Video Limited (IVL), have original dub-free soundtrack and English subtitles.

I'm going to assume that spywatcher's post was almost entirely sarcasm, as the English soundtrack to this movie was terrible.

This movie has one of the goofiest, definitely not in a good way, soundtracks ever.
