The best part IS the ending. SPOILERS

This is one of my fave thrillers and although many feel that it falls apart with its studio interfered abrupt ending I have always been of the opinion that the turn around twist is one of the most unexpected and "boo yeah" moments in the thriller genre. The viewer starts with feeling sorry for Helena who will either be tortured or killed by the macho pig Taylor before Berlin shows up as per usual Thriller protocol, but then it turns out Taylor's misogyny made him blind to the clever trap where justice is dealt out by who rightly should be executioner. This switch happens in mere seconds. A fist pumper, and waaaaaay better than the alternate ending.
