That's easy. Evan Ross (Diana Ross' son.)
Not only is he a very good actor (he's done some independent movies) but he has close ties to Michael being Diana's son. Michael adored Diana Ross & i think at one point stayed/lived with her.
So Diana would have lots of stories, etc. to help Evan prepare for the role.
Oh & plus he sorta looks like him!

shareI know a guy who looks so much like 20-something-year-old Michael its ridiculous. But anyways...the best thing to do for casting Michael Jackson would be to cast a dancer, preferably a Michael Jackson impersonator. John Hensley does bare an uncanny resemblance to MJ; when I saw him I thought he was trying to make some cruel MJ look alike joke. Despite that, it would take much too much time to train John into becoming MJ. As for Evan Ross, he doesn't resemble MJ very much; he looks like his mom, not MJ. Keith Robinson should not have been thought of.

He also sings and dances! He could were a fake big nose for a teen Michael, and then a weird nose for his older days. They could make the nose like they did in the movie The Grinch.
I just finished watching Dreamgirls and I agree. I thought he looked very much like MJ during or before the Off the Wall era.
But he's probably too old to play a sixteen-twenty year old MJ.
While Keith Robinson is fine, he does NOT look like Mike...not younger or older..
shareI'm afraid I can't think of anyone except maybe Evan Ross, Johnny Depp (for the later years of course) or E'Casanova (the best MJ impersonator ever. He looks just like him during the "Bad" era). Michael is such a unique person and character. From his looks to his personality, it's hard to find someone to play him without coming across as comical or plain silly (Anyone seen Flex Alexander in "Man In The Mirror", an example of what not to do). Doing a movie about MJ's life is very hard simply because he was so unique. It will be very difficult to find the right person to play him.

I think an Unknown would be best cast like they did in the 1992 film. Wylie was not known when that film was done and he was wonderful. It would have to have a huge casting call to find the person who best fit it. Unknowns are better at making things more believable than someone we know well for we cant separate the actor from the character.

I completely agree with the last poster... Absolutely stupid to suggest white actors for one of the most famous African Americans of all time, even though he turned white, MJ was always a black man... And to the OP, I agree with other posters that an unknown should be cast, even perhaps a female, as Naomie Harris in 28 days later bared resemblance to Mike during his Thriller days... I'd suggest a huge casting call, someone who has the looks and most importantly the energy of Mike and the attitude, that's the most important thing.
