One of my favorite shows growing up

Anyone remember this show? I was one of my favorites growing up and I went the longest time not remembering the name, until someone here at IMDB helped me out :D

I had the same issue not remembering the name! ...No wonder, it wasnt even English. I'm Canadian, but not french. I was sitting at work today, going over the local networks schedule that I watched it on back in '94. Crazy stuff. Im almost 20, and I've been kicking myself for not recalling the name al these years.

I'm not surprised that you forgot the name, for this show was more or less 'hidden' in its English-dubbed version on YTV. I can't remember it ever being shown in an afternoon or evening time slot on that channel. I remember coming across it only between 1:30 and 3:30 AM, half drunk, when I was in and out of university in my early to mid 20s in the '90s. I thought it was pretty cool, and reminded me somewhat of The Famous Five back in the late '70s. Like I was saying on YouTube just recently, the show is well-remembered by Francophone Canadians who watched it on a different channel, but it seems to have fallen off the edge of the Earth for Anglo-Canadian viewers--apparently, this and all such similar shows were overshadowed and forgotten in the wake of Shirley Holmes's debut in the mid '90s. It probably stands as the ultimate youth 'cult show' for Anglo-Canadian viewers nearly two decades later. It stands out in my mind like some old semi-forgotten '60s spy show or '50s foreign film. Bizarre, but interesting.

This show was bloody ingenious---the show the Hardy Boys and every other teen/kids mystery wanted to be but failed. If only Les Intrepides were more appreciated the art of TV would be so much more creditable

I would wake up at 7 AM (on Saturday Morning---and I would never wake up nearly that early on a school day) to watch this show in 1995 when I was a 9 year old. I would kill to be able to watch it again and I was totally bummmed out when it was cancelled.

I recently found videos on youtube but they are all in French. I always watched the English version as I am an Anglo-phone Canadian...IS THERE ANYWAY OF FINDING THE ENGLISH VERSION OF THIS SHOW...thank you; merci beaucoup

I found The Intrepids and Shirley Holmes watchable because they wrote up to their viewers. I was in my twenties at the time, but both shows were adult-compatible. They made the various versions of The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew over the years seem corny and ignorant. For that matter, they made '70s Charlie's Angels seem corny and ignorant (it was). The late '70s version of The Famous Five (British) probably came the closest; but that was truly another time and another place, based on novels from the '30s through '50s.

I've looked around the internet for bootleg English-language DVD copies, but haven't turned up anything. Bootlegs of Shirley Holmes are out there, however; I purchased them from a website about a year ago.
