this is by far my favourite film ever made!its the best i love it and i hate people who critisize it (jodynh) cause its class!i love irish films probably cause i am irish but theyre always just so good.i love the little boys ossie tato they are so cute and theyre little acients.ah bless theyre cotton socks!i love all them irish film like who remembers war of the buttons that was class too and of course the commitments etc.if you think of anymore irish film that you think i havnt seen let me know please!

I definatly agree with you. Into to the west is fantastic. War of the buttons is also great. THE BUTCHER BOY aswell! And the field!

Well...I'm not Irish, I'm italian...but I m totally fall in love about Ireland...and of course Irish movies!!!Just because I'm like that I ve decided to write my final dissertation, for my Uni in italy, actually about irish cinema...and I'm analizing "into the West", "the butcher boy" and "A boy from mercury"(if you have not see it...I raccomand it!!)...so if you have material...every kind of material you want raccomanded me...well don't hesitate!

That guy on the other message boards is a jackass! what does he know about what ireland is like. I'm an 11th grader in an international school and i'm doing the full ib! i'm writing my extended essay on into the west and the supernatural behind it1! is really interesting! and into the west is an amazing movie!

Be sure to check out "Isolation" (2005). A great horror film by any standards and a gem of Irish cinema.
