7.5 years later it's on again
bbc1 1205
I came on here to check whether it was worth watching too.........7 years later. At least it's not the Steven Segal movie!
shareI saw the rating for the Segal movie and glad I've not wasted time on that!
My PVR broke down and have very limited data, so no choices but live TV or a book for me- like the old days :D I'm still watching this on BBC1,so it can't be that bad, despite low-budget, and stock footage of very different planes. It's in 4:3 aspect too, which is surprising for BBC1 on a Friday (it doesn't say here if it was actually made in 4:3 aspect anyway). I have to say, when the cocky movie star turned up only interested in the only guy who didn't like him, I thought this was a cheap remake of The Hard Way (one of my favourites with Michael J Fox. and James Woods). It's strayed from that idea slightly, so will see how the last 20 minutes go.
Surprised to see Rusty Griswold from National Lampoon's Vacation and Roger Moore's daughter, Deborah also a British model from the Scottish Widows adverts of the time - nice!
So, this is planet Houston
I just watched it on bbc, what a blast from the past haha. I think this movie was straight to video in 92 where I lived, I remember renting it when I was a little kid because I thought it would be like Top Gun & Iron Eagle from the cool video cover. It's actually a fun movie, shame it's not better known.
Anybody who knows this movie should also be familiar with this DTV classic that was identical to this and came out at the same time: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101879/?ref_=fn_al_tt_5.
