Very, very, very underrated
It's a great movie. Seymour Cassel .

I actually would have said that Seymour Cassel carried the movie more than Buscemi. Although a great performance from Steve, I really relished any screen time given to Cassel. Every time he appeared on screen I had a huge grin on My face.
I love this movie. Found it completely by accident and it was SO worth the pound spend on it. Thought it was pretty wierd that the extra's on my DVD was mainly about Animal Factory though... I have that too and can't help but think that the extras from In The Soup would have worked better on the Animal Factory DVD.
Even with the craziness of the plot, In the Soup's dry/dark humor and the warmth of its characters made for an enjoyable film. Though In the Soup does begin to waver towards the end.
