Got it for nothing, not a bad movie

I got this movie for free, with a DVD player I bought. I thought it would be a load of trash, because it was apparently made for TV, and the star, Anthony Perkins died of AIDS just months after filming finished - which surprised me, because considering he had AIDS, and was 70 years old at the time, he looks very well and young in this film. I'd say about he looks about 57 years old.

The film isn't that bad. It always has you thiking whether it's Perkin's character who is the killer or someone else; there are three possible killers - SORRY, four, including one which I thought would have been the better twist, ie, the leading lady with an undiagnosed mental problem.

Nevertheless, I gave this 6 out of 10. Not a classic, but worth watching. Perkins, who was on the verge of death, certainly went out in a good film. RIP. A sad loss.

Anthony Perkins was 60 when this movie was filmed and 60 when he died. I think it's amazing that he looked his age since he was so sickly.

I agree with you, it's not a bad movie.

It was a better movie than I was expecting too. At first I thought it was obvious who the killer was, but by the time it was actually revealed, I had changed my mind so many times that I felt silly having been sure who it was (and I was wrong).

I noticed Anthony Perkins had a trench coat on and all buttoned up in every scene he was in, I wondered if that was to cover up how skinny he was. Nonetheless he looked good considering how ill he must have been.

Hi eye-sea, and everyone who has this movie, since you have it why don't you share it with others? I'd like to see it too, I'm a big Perkins fan and many of his movies are so hard to find... Maybe you'll try to consider putting a torrent somewhere..

I would think that it was the medication that Anthony Perkins would have been on that made him look still able-looking. He gives a good performance probably knowing that it was his last movie. I think it's one of the better tv movies.

I got it for like $4 bucks at someone's yard sale or maybe Savers? I don't remember but it was worth the buck!

there are two actors here in smaller parts that's been in "married with children", griff and the woman in the episode about the will where al's hair turned white and he had gone weak, woman: "i'm looking for al bundy" al: "i was al bundy", i recognised her voice right away. perkins gets a pretty big credit here for an almost none speaking part and just lurking around showing up like a ghost, but the performance near the end was worth it. the strongest scene was when patricia discovered the trunk, she has great screen presence, i'm equally hooked on her and her sister.

i waited up,
with the help of coffee cups,
for your fine self to walk through the door,
with that tight outfit you picked up from the store,
i sat by the window all night,
with anticipation to suddenly realise,
a change of plans as you never came home,
the landlord was all i saw,
i said to tell you i had five hungry women here before,
but now that you're gone,
left me tired and soar,
and the night got destroyed,
along with a coffee cup against the wall.
