An example of how funny this serious movie can be:

When Woody et al are talking about going out to eat, someone suggests Mexican and the aerobics instructor new girlfrind gets all excited, saying she loves Mexican, she flips over cous-cous.

Soon thereafter, Woody, shocked by the ditzy girlfriend, asks his friend if his IQ has gone into remission.

There are little throw away lines like that all through the movie, that really get me laughing.
