Fate

I've seen the movie a bunch of times and found different meanings every time. I've read through posts and found very interesting theories about the meaning of Howard's End and the class struggle within British society but tonight I watched the film again because I wanted to see more about how Ruth's wishes are denied but turn up being fulfilled at the end, like the inescapable fate of the property or the ever present spirit of Ruth living through Margaret. I would like to hear more about what people think of the role of fate and destiny in Howard's End.
