shareI think they had to make that role a bit creepy, otherwise it would be a no-brainer for Betsy to choose him. Robert Redford... wasn't he the guy in the similar role in 'Indecent Proposal'? Or is that your point, that the movies are so similar? They kind of are, although IP is more of a drama, with 'Honeymoon in Vegas' being a comedy.
Who else could have done the role but less creepy? Hmm, Ted Danson, Jeff Bridges, Michael Keaton? I'm trying to think of actors that aren't overly handsome but attractive enough to make the storyline believable.
