The Mother + Son Scene

The scene where Diane calls Adam when they are big and when she says "Mommie's Here". That always makes me cry. Does it make anyone else cry?

Maybe not cry, its been years now, just sky plussing it off film 4 tonight, but it did put a lump in my throat i remember that, is it just after he is crying after being hit or getting a shock?

GO ON... SPOIL YOURSELF

I do find it a touching scene

reply

I cry at that part to. That is sad when he gets hit in the hand and starts crying.

reply

Yeah that is sad

My heart always broke when Adam got shocked and started crying. I so wanted to just jump in the TV and give him a hug. But luckily Diane did soon after.
I guess the part where Diane is holding onto Adam made a lump in my throat because Diane is crying from happiness and Adam sees that and says that its ok to cry when you're very happy.

Yeah that was the best and the most emotional scene in the whole movie in my opinion, I feel really sad when they make Adam cry, and especially when whole crowd grows silent and looks sad too. :(

Then when the mom arrives and they hug makes me cry too.

i'd do more than punch him in the face if he shot at my kid

"sir, sir, i gotta check and see if you've soiled yourself, I'll get to you in a moment, sir!"

reply

I wonder what they did to the kid to make him cry like that.
I don't know, can a child that young be taught to cry like that for the camera?
Seemed pretty genuine to me.

reply

Maybe they just film him and wait for a natural tantrum. I'd like to think at least!

When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?

It is one of those heartwarming and tear jerking combined moments. It is quite sad that Adam cries and his mother is not there to comfort him until she turns gigantic, but when he cries after being hurt, the entire crowd who ran from him as if they would Godzilla, look at him with compassion and teary eyes, like "aw, poor thing." I was expecting they would clap when he was back to his regular size though, but good enough for me.

I am very pleased that the people who made this film decided to shoot the film like this, instead of making the crowd have a different reaction, such as laughing at him or being happy that he was hurt. I agree that this is the best and most emotional scene in the whole movie.

I did realize something today though, different topic, but Rick Moranis starred in two giant films, this film and Ghost Busters with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Mean people suck! Nice people rule!
