Would a booby trapped hotel have worked better?

Maybe there are a few floors being renovated?

The central idea of I is that he’s defending his fort. Great idea and a natural instinct. I don’t feel like the uncles home works. It’ feels like a torture dungeon.

Interesting thought but then we wouldn't get the infamous Unc's House Level on Home Alone 2 SNES

reply

Never played it. I want to now.

reply

Don't play that game! It's bad! So was every movie based game on the SNES and NES.

reply

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i love all the movie based games and the entire LJN catalouge and i always have long before the Internet told me i was wrong

reply

"i love all the movie based games"

Really??? "All"???

reply

I am with you bosdog. A whole generation of people have been brainwashed to dislike certain games because of youtubers like the angry video game nerd. Don't get me wrong i love the AVGN...But most of the games he has made millions bashing are some of the funnest games i ever played as a child.

reply

Oh please! The NES games of Beetlejuice, Terminator 1 and 2, Who framed Roger Rabbit, and Back to the future are all horrible!

reply

But Friday the 13th was great...

reply

That one is bad too.

reply

I disagree

reply

With the whole left is right and right is left crap?

reply

I never found it to be that big of a deal...I just always paused to look at the map..and I was like 7 years old.

reply

Beetlejuice is good with the only problem being you have to do some serious Insect Farming in the first level if you hope to make it far, Terminator 2 is fun if you actually make it past the Semi Truck level and go on a decent run, Roger Rabbit is just an all around great game, Back to the Future is below average but Back to the Future part 2 and 3 is one of the most fulfilling video games to play if you figure out what you are doing, Never played Terminator 1 so dont have an opinion

reply

Don't forget Genesis

reply

Dibs! I call it I’m doing it

reply

Remember to film it.

I personally like the idea of a booby trapped hotel...I often think that it would have been very funny if Kevin had managed to find a way to lure the Wet Bandits into the Plaza Hotel (e.g. by leaving them with the false impression that there is an easily accessible room with many valuables worth stealing) and then have them annoying Mr. Hector and his entourage. It would have been priceless to watch Marv and Harry's interactions with the no-nonsense concierge and his colleagues.

reply

No. They would have to answer the question of why no one would be hearing all the ruckus on the other floors. Also, Kevin lured them in with part 2 so he should be liable for the extensive damage.

reply

That's true, the Wet Bandits may not have been willing to risk burgling a room at the Plaza Hotel, as they would have had a hard time getting away with it, though I have to say that the hotel security guards seemed relatively ineffective (e.g. during the fake gangster scene).

It actually remains unexplained how Harry and Marv were able to figure out that Kevin was in trouble with the hotel staff, concocting the plan to catch him while fleeing through the (I am assuming) emergency exit doors.
