Was Kevin actually trying to KILL Harry and Marv?

If not, surely he could have just told the police about their plan to rob the toy store.

Was the attempted murder really necessary? Is that what he thought the pigeon lady meant by a "good deed"?

reply

Perhaps after the events of the first film Kevin has turned into a psycho/socio path?

reply

Who cares? It makes for funny slapstick comedy.

In the books he was afraid to go to the police for

Home Alone 1 - stealing toothbrush
Home Alone 2 - credit card fraud

"Be excellent to each other...And....Party on!"

reply

-Well towards the end, Hary pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot Kevin!
-They planned to rob a toy store and steal money meant to be donated to sick children!
- They threatened to bite his fingers off in the first film.

So yeah, no sympathy for them what so ever!

It's a universe with Looney Tunes laws of physics, where a dude can get up and walk away from half a dozen bricks dropped on his head from four stories up. Better not to over-analyze it, just enjoy the hilarity.

Sick back and enjoy the film. Pure Slapstick. No one ever gets hurt.

reply

Not nessesarily, he was trying to save his ass. Remember those guys were out to get him since the first movie and they had a gun. Booby traps was his only power and sense of protection.
