Is it just me or did Kate look a lot older in this movie?

She looked like she has aged at least a decade in this film compared to the first film.

The shorter hair by far made her look older. It really made her kinda unattractive too. She was a doll with the shoulder lengthed hair in the first movie.

Hoo woo woo woo, do it hit hit, Gitter! Ooo ooo ott too OOO! Snuffer eet HOO doo!

I agree. I generally think that women look better with shoulder length or longer hair. Very few women in my opinion do I think look good with short hair and even them I think would look even better with longer hair. But that's just me, I keep my hair just a little passed my shoulders to mid back. Her hair was also a lighter shade of red than in the first movie so that could have also made her look a little older. I don't so much think she looked older just not quite as attractive as she did with the longer/darker hair.

Agreed.

That bob or guys cut; whatever you call it, just didn't fit her right. Catherine O'Hara's always been an underrated beauty and she still looks awesome but she just wasn't meant for short hair. Give her shoulder length or longer; some killer makeup and outfits in her prime and she'd be one of the more beautiful female comics. I guess they were trying to make her more mature but that haircut and those outfits were awful.

That's one thing they improved on for part 3 when Haviland Morris played the mom. They let her be more like Catherine in the first one clothes wise and they let her be a bombshell with her hair and makeup; much better choice imo.

I guess John Hughes musta had a thing for red haired older ladies.. lol

True, she DID look older with short hair.

She was way prettier with long shoulder length hair.

She's gorgeous.
