I think my favorite part of Home Alone 2 was the scene when Kevin and Pigeon Lady shared a cup of hot cocoa in the storage area over Carnegie Hall where they watched the Christmas show.

I think you completely missed the point of what Kevin learnt by meeting her.

She was rejected by society, as was Kevin by his family. They were both considered ‘black sheep’ and were off putting to an extent. But there is goodness to be found in both of them- as Kevin said, otherwise the pigeons wouldnt have liked her.

She had a good heart, but as it got broken, she had become accustomed to pushing others away to keep herself safe. I dont see what would warrant you to say she was a nasty person.. Sounds like you would of been one of the cold people that would of rejected her just based on appearance- which is a childlike stance to have on the matter- and one that even Kevin learnt to outgrow.

OP, if its any consolation; take joy in the fact that the little rich boy (from a caked family staying in the penthouse of a 5* NY hotel) runs down to meet her on Christmas morning and gives her a useless piece of clay as a token of his generosity instead of access to a hot shower, a new set of clothes, a warm meal or a room for the night which would have been far more befitting to someone in her situation!
