An undiscovered gem

Back in the mid-90's I had made a habit of going to the show almost every day. Of course, the bad thing was sitting through complete junk like "Surf Ninjas" or "My Boyfriend's Back" sometimes; the good thing was occasionally running across some truly wonderful film that to this day doesn't get the credit it deserves.

(A few other nominations would be "Wrestling Ernest Hemingway," "Romeo Is Bleeding," "Threesome" and "The Music of Chance.")

This is one of them. It's by no means cinema genius, but it's so quirky and outrageous that it certainly deserves more recognition.

Great line (and it's so great that I'm surprised that it isn't mentioned in the quotes section):

"I guess losing your virginity, burying your pet and killing your sister all in the same day can take a lot out of a girl."

(I'm paraphrasing, by the way, so forgive me if I don't quite have it right. But what a great line! LOL!)

By the way, I'm right with another poster who said that the most poignant scene (in a film devoid of them!) was when the Diane Ladd character just asked to be held for a moment by Eli. What a nice scene.

And poor Adrienne...
