Trying to get Betty's own daughter to go against her mother and spending time with her?

I don't know if Kerry Wells the prosecutor now judge really did spend time with Betty's daughter in real life but in the movie the actress that played Kerry Wells had lunch with Kate. The kids names in the movie were changed so in real life Kate was Kim. Kim loves Betty but felt that Betty should be punished for what she did but I don't think Kerry Wells turned the daughter against Betty because if she was doing that she would have been doing that to the other kids like Rhett, Danny, and Lee.
