Widescreen Version?

Clearly this movie was shot on 35mm film, so is there a widescreen version available anywhere? I mean, I realize the movie was pretty terrible & originally straight-to-video (at least here in America), so it makes sense for the standard edition to be in a 4:3 screen ratio, but was there ever a 16:9 version of this film?

It wasn't straight-to-video in America. I saw it in the theater here. It had a theatrical release.

The 2006 DVD is 16:9 but it looks cropped to me. The new Blu Ray in the Scarlet Box set has corrected the cropping issues and you get the full picture as intended, it looks fantastic!
