How'd Michael break both his legs?

That part always seemed dumb to me, he didn't even fall that far, and he only landed on one of his legs. So i don't see how he somehow broke BOTH his legs from that fall. Now if you fall from a great distance and try and land on both feet, then i could see breaking both your legs, but Michael landed on his side and the impact only hit one of legs.

Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

Perhaps Peyton hit him so hard with the shovel / spade that the sheer force of his impact on the, concrete (?), floor was what broke any of the bones in both of his limbs.

His broken legs were a plot device.

Doesn't matter how high, you just hit at the right angle you can do damage. A women just broke her toddlers leg sliding down the slide with her on her lap. The little kids leg had hit the side of the slide.
