Great cast, so-so film

I found this film on VHS for 99 cents in a thrift store, where I find so many of these forgetten (and in this case forgettable) relics of the video era.

This movie has a very appealing cast – Penelope Ann Miller, Cathy Moriaty, Alfre Woodard and Julianne Moore for starters – but the plot just didn't grab me. It's a pleasant enough way to while away an hour and a half, but I can't say I was disappointed to see it end. 5/10 stars from me.
