I have good news, and bad also (I think), the mini-series has now been released as of 08-12-03, which was very surprising to me, and is now available to buy on dvd, which is great, I remember watching it when it originally aired in 4 parts over christmas years ago in Sweden, here's the link:

It can also be bought at places like discshop.se for instance.
Anyhow, the only "smolk in the bägare" (to use some Swedish) is that there doesn't seem to be any english subtitles which is unfortunate, well I've ordered my copy and will report if maybe there are subtitles in english even if it doesn't say so on SVT:s website. Maybe the BBC can release it in the UK with subtitles.
