Amazing movie!

I think this is just an amazing movie! The people who wrote and directed this movie took the lives of 3 women with boring lives, living in a small town in the middle of nowhere, and managed to keep me interested all the way through. This was done with a simple "slice of life" story, incredible acting from the entire cast, a great soundtrack, and beauiful cinematography! This is one of my favorite movies ever! This movie really proves that you don't need a crazy story line or a bunch of over-the-top action scenes to make a great movie! Five stars!

I think it's great too, it has an entirely different mood than most films...though people I like and respect say they hated it, though those people like movies that I hate such as Royal Tenenbaums (apologies to fans).

I quite liked it, too. Although the characters and the story were so cliched that it was almost painful at times. But the movie had heart and honesty. Plus, the fabulous late-eighties-early-nineties clothing styles were great to watch. If exactly the same movie was made today, I would probably enjoy it much less because this movie would lack the nostalgic element.
