John Lithgow was great as Ian McCandless!!!
Though, I did find him a bit snobbish at times.
shareEr, were you watching the same film!!!??? It was Anthony Hopkins(as detailed in the Cast List above...). John Lithgow did not appear in any role.
shareThis truly was Lithgow's best role...until 3rd Rock that is!
sharePerhaps John Lithgow would've been cool as McCandless, but in reality, he DID NOT PLAY HIM! Go look at the movie box or watch it again when it's on TV, McCandless was played by Anthony Hopkins. Unless there was a TV show of Freejack where Lithgow played McCandless, that sounds cool. I never saw it if there was such a show.
"Imagination is the Figment"
Lithgow was also awesome in The Manhattan Project. Another favorite is the The Edge. That ruled!
shareLet's not forget Lithgow's other great roles in films such as Footloose, Dexter (as the serial killer Trinity), Ricochet, and, of course, his greatest role as Dr Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal.
And he was that one old dude in the World's Fastest Indian.
With regard to Anthony Hopkins (not sure why he was mentioned here as he has no relation to Freejack), he was great in Psycho, and also 2010: The Year we Make Contact.
Lithgows best part thou was in the Elephantman and I also loved him in the Silence of the Hams...
I thought Paul McCartney was better as Vecendak, and Charlie Sheen and Michelle Pfeiffer great in the leading roles too...
Please tell me which descripytions you use...Mine is Novacine...ZZZZzzzz
VICTIMS ARENĀ“T WE ALL?
LOL!
shareAnthony Hopkins should best be remembered for his portrayal of a male crossdresser in the sad and compelling The World According to Garp
OK, just got the joke. Watching it now and in the "22.xxx" sec of the transfer occuring, with the red fiery CG stuff going on in the background, Hopkins did briefly look like Lithgow. Only there for a second or so but keep watching Hopkins during the apparent spiritual transfer sequence.
Most people aspire to drink from the fountain of knowledge, i just wanna gargle
I love Anthony Hopkins in Cliffhanger.
