As good as a thriller can possibly get

This film had it all. Everything was perfectly written and executed. Vertigo could not have deserved a better homage than the one in this film. It was superb. Thrillers will never get better than this, the early 90's created films as good as they could possibly get and this in an example of that.

i TOTALLY AGREE I LOVE THIS MOVIE I THINK IT'S GOT CLASS MYSTERY GLAMOUR AND..VERTIGO! I THINK IT'S UNDERRATED - KIM BASINGER MAKES A GREAT ICY BLONDE IN THE LINE OF KIM NOVAK. alongside BASIC INSTINCT 1,ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE EARLY 90'S.

It is really superb. I think the comparison with Vertigo is apt.

Seven other great thrillers for those who loved this one - Tequila Sunrise and Chinatown (both written by the great Robert Towne), Basic Instinct and A Perfect Murder, Fatal Attraction and Primal Fear, Deception.

And for those who are willing ot go back to the 1940s, these are superb: Double Indemnity, Out of the Past, They Won't Believe Me, The Postman Always Rings Twice, The Maltese Falcon, The Lady in the Lake, Murder My Sweet, The Glass Key, This Gun for Hire.

Another great vote for me too, for another femme fetalle neo noir see the eighties body heat too, and another interesting one is the one with val kilmer and his wife joanna wallie kilmer (sp?) cant recall her name or the name of the film but I am sure you 'll find it. But Final Analysis outshines these to suggestions, still good movies though and great chemistry in body heat too between kathline turner and william hurt, oh, another great noir thriller mickey rourke in...altzheimers!!!...no seriously...uh...the name..."Angel Heart". Again superb chemistry between the then gorgeous lisa bonnet and the ever great Mic.
