Original Diana Young FernGully Stories

Does anyone know the specifics about Diana Young's stories the movie is based on? All I can find online is just one book called "FernGully," but in the credits of the movie it says "Based on the FernGully stories by Diana Young." Is the book a collection of these stories, and if so is it the only one?

it is based on the novel FernGully. I could never find any other written stories about Ferngully.

Actually, I got ahold of the book and read it. I must say, it's one of those cases where the movie is actually better than the book. Much, much better, actually.
