Why didn't Crysta save the snail?

When Zak got stuck to the snail and Goanna (forgive me if I misspelled) is closing in, why didn't Crysta come down and save both Zak and the snail?

I'm willing to bet quite a bit that if this was done by Disney, the snail would have been saved. ;)

Which is why I'm glad it WASN'T Disney in this case.
