The forest in this was more captivating than the one in Avatar!

Avatar had real people, which is what I prefer, yet I didn't really feel like I was there, with the Navi. While FernGully is a animated movie for kids, the forest was much more magical and inviting to me, despite the lack of today's SFX. The painted colors were lush and beautiful, whereas the colors in Avatar had that digital tint to them. The only scene in Avatar that I felt taken in by, was the glowing coccoon like hammicks up the tree at night. Other than that, the movie was rather mediocre.
