Crysta's hands thing?

I know there's a question in the archives about it, and there's some theory going on that the hands glowing thing in "A Dream Worth Keeping" scene in the cave is basically Crysta's way of possibly showing her affection as a fairy. For a long time, I thought that was basically how fairies connect and share emotions, similar to a kiss.

There's even a theory somewhere about how it's "fairy sex," and I doubt that. Of course, kissing probably does not exist in her world of Ferngully so it's probable that when Zak kissed her she didn't know what it was. I am guessing, though, as a fairy she understood the emotions of a human when kissed, and therefore giggled because it was the butterflies feeling that many of us feel.

This sounds kind of silly to materialize all of this from a kids movie, but there are some symbolic things within it that older ages can pick out. I think about 60% of the time, this movie is somewhat adult because of the connotation of love and forgiveness, and even the fact that Zak and Crysta are more than likely early to late teenagers and experiencing hormones -- or lack there-of for Crysta.

Anyone else think that the hands thing was a symbol of sex, or their way of kissing?

Perhaps. That's funny because I've been in love with Crysta since I first saw this at age 9 (I'm pushing 27) and that hands thing was never something I thought about much. Good theory.

What I've been hung up on all this time is that Crysta didn't save that poor snail Zak was stuck to! :(
