I was wondering when the blu-ray will come out. This movie was so beautifully filmed and is in fact one of the last films shot in 70mm. It needs a pristine 8K transfer to blu-ray with lossless 7.1 sound! And pile on the features, too!
P.S. - Hmmm, I'm thinking the 20th Anniversary is right around the corner (2013), so maybe a blu-ray, Universal, maybe?
itunes has it's probably only 720p so yes wheres the blu ray

the DVD was terrible.Whatever this movie is as a story,its great looking.It needs blu-ray badly.
shareThe Blu-ray should also be sourced from the original 65MM elements. Also the extended cut which runs around 170 Min, should be included with seamless branching.
shareIts quite shameful universal transferred this using 35 MM sources. Universal is absolutely the worst when it comes to catalog releases.
