Why Estonia?

Why two kids decided that Link is from Estonia? As I understand they want a country in far north.

The only reason I can think of is he's from the Stone age and Estonia has the word Stone (but without an E) in it

Probably because the average person knows nothing about Estonia. So they knew no one would ask.

Yeah, I thought the same way. However, it may have been the first uncommon country name they could think about, so maybe they didn't elaborate that decision that well.

Because in the 90's it was cool to be a "stoner" from "Estonia"

I think Stone Age and Stoney (Pauly Shore's character's name) naturally led to the choice of Estonia.
