Just didn't 'get ' it

I tried, I really did. I wanted to like it. There were some cool shots and a few decent scenes, and Robert John Burke is awesome, but I just wasn't feeling this movie. I'm willing to admit that maybe I'm just not in the right mood for it or that I just didn't "get" it. I felt the same with "Hardware" as well, though, so perhaps Richard Stanley just isn't my style. Ah well...

I'm on my second attempt now and like you, just not feeling it. What I don't understand is why I'm not enjoying it, this seems to be exactly my kind of film. I'm thinking if I can get at least one viewing under my belt then I'll have more appreciation for it the next time but I'm not convinced so far.

Hardware is my fav sci-fi, dark, graphic, artsy, and gory.. But this just went in circles, no substantial plot, or likeable characters.. Stanley could be a one hit wonder like Stone.

Guys, it was meant to be dreamy, kinda like Stalker (Stanley is big fan of Tarkovsky) and such, not that the two movies have anything in common. You have to be in the right mood. You would be disappointed if your expectations were for some slasher or something.

And you should have watched the uncut version.
