New DVD

No one seems very thrilled about this release. It has been remastered and looks a bit better than previous releases, however, there are no special features of any kind. It seems that the only positive aspect of this new American release is that it is on region 1 for the first time, and now many more people will be able to have access to the film. Unfortunately it could have been far superior, and I am pretty surprised that Image Entertainment decided to set the list price above $20. I do hope that this new release will allow some more students of film to experience this great directors abandoned work.

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
