Sequel?

Would anyone else want to see a sequel to this? I don't know if i trust Charles Band's abilities as a filmmaker these days, but i guess we'll see how the next few sequels he does turn out (Head of the Family 2&3, New Puppet Master trilogy). This film is great, and has sequel potential. But they would need Combs again for it to not suck. I doubt they could get him...

Charles Band did talk about trying to get another into production, along with many other sequels to his biggest films. But this was years ago. With budget restraints, and getting back Jeffrey Combs of all people, this film have a sequel is least likely to happen than a PUPPET MASTER 10. And that is having enough troubles getting off the ground.

I got Combs to sign my soundtrack at a con last year. I didn't specifically ask him about a sequel, but it was obvious from his reaction when I pulled out the disc that Mordrid has a special place in his heart. He pulled out the booklet, looked and the pictures, re-read the liner notes and reminisced. Going off of that reaction (and the old Videozone featurette where he talked about possible franchising of the film), if there's ever any serious talk of a sequel, I'm willing to bet Combs would be on board.

I bet he would. I don't think he likes the idea of working with Charles Band again though. But maybe he's willing to put his differences aside.

You ever hear of Legion of Doom? It's an unproduced screenplay from Full Moon, it was a crossover with Mordrid, Mandroid, the invisible Benjamin Knight, and someone else I can't remember, joining forces to fight evil. Kind of like the JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Yeah, seems like they had plans for a sequel. Especially with the whole subplot with the picture of a woman in Dr. Mordrid's locket. Seems like there was a lot more to that, but they didn't elaborate.
