Wasn't Fred Thompson, who was a Senator, in this?

I did a little researching. Haven't seen the movie for a while.

Fred Thompson was not in this, I think you are thinking of Joe Don Baker or maybe Lane Smith.

I think you are too. Fred Dalton Thompson was not in this movie.

I just saw the movie and was thinking the same thing. I guess Joe Don resembles (appearance and mannerisms) Fred Thompson a lot.
