HammerHead Hagan

Did anyone else notice that. Honey Roy fought his last fight in 1972 (if i remeber correctly) and lost to hammerhead. 20 years later Hammerhead is still built like a tank. Does anyone know if he ever fought in real life or have any more info about him. I have seen this movie twice and All the other boxers are just normal guys Then i see HAmmerHead and it's like WTF!!!!! All the other boxers are just normal guys Then when he see's Roy he says something like "You look bad. Wait till I'm finshed with You."

It is a bit odd, but if you bear in mind that a fighter can sometimes enter pro-boxing in their late teens (Tyson's first pro fight was at age 19) and stick around in good form well into their late 30s (Evander Holyfield is still going at 41), then it seems at least plausible.

Consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.

You're right, it was at 18.

I think Hammerhead looked like he could have been in his early 40s. Some people just age better than others. An older dude in good shape with a shaved head can look younger than he really is. Hell, even Louis Gossett Jr didn't look like he was in his late 50s. If he had gotten into some semblance of shape for this movie, he would have looked even younger, ha ha.

you could take to account that Honey Roy wasn't as active as a boxer than he was since the last time he was working with Kane. Being semi retired as a coach of a youth center you don't have to be chiseled like granite. Hammerhead could have stayed active if not in the pro side, but the independence circuits
